The federal government is chiming in on manufacturing strategies, because they want the U.S. to be a leader in the industry. Alliance for American Manufacturing reported, “The 40-page strategy document focuses on three key goals: the development and transition of new manufacturing technologies, the education and training of the manufacturing workforce, and the expansion of domestic manufacturing across the supply chain.” Unsurprisingly, part of the plan includes support for training and education to address the skills gap in the manufacturing industry. They want to meet the goals that they laid out within the next four years.
